Is it interfering with family or leisure time after a long day of work? Do you find yourself wasting valuable hours in your week going to multiple appointments to ease your pain, and feeling let down by the result?

As a teenager, I experienced back pain for several weeks that led my parents to taking me to our family practice physician.  After a couple of very short appointments, it was determined I had "muscle spasms" and I was told to do "no physical activity" for 6 months.  I was very disappointed by this advice. I couldn't participate in sports. I sat out of all my gym classes and I was scared I would hurt myself for months afterward if I did play sports. As I studied to become a Physical Therapist later in life, I realized how important it is to find a way to keep my body moving and exercising. I learned to not shy away from movement and exercise if I get pain. The difference now is, I  can identify the cause of my pain and how to correct it and not just treat the symptoms. 

This is how we approach treating injuries at Miller Physical Therapy. We focus on a comprehensive diagnosis and evaluation of your entire body. We make a detailed assessment of how you move and help you return to your everyday life without pain. We use this whole body approach every visit in order to measure your progress toward your goals.  We don't rely on saying "rest and take some medication" and hope it goes away after a couple of months.
